Professional Training and Experience

  • Alvaro Gonzalez studied architecture at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso. He is titled the year 1974.
  • 1974 and 1986, Architect of the Chilean Navy. In this position he develops land infrastructure projects. He participates as an advisor in the development of the New Las Salinas Naval Hospital.
  • 1986 to 2000, Independent Architect. Focused on developing housing projects, real estate projects and education.
  • 2001 to 2013, ABWB Associate Architect. At this stage he is in charge of leading the workshop of clinics and hospitals.
  • 2014 to date, Partner Architect AGE Arquitectos. Office that it constitutes with a special focus on the development of Clinical Projects in Chile, Peru and Latin America.

Present

Aware that clinical architecture is constantly facing new challenges and changes in technology, Álvaro continues to participate in conferences in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, the US and Germany.

Likewise, he recurrently visits the most important clinical centers in the US and continues to work in conjunction with important architecture offices in the US, such as SBR&A Architects, HMC Architects and SmithGroup.

To date, it has more than 30 years of experience in the development of hospital projects, having developed around 625,000 sq m in the last 15 years (all of them built).
